BRANCH STANDARDS

Cleanliness/Appearance: Ensures the BIB Centre is kept updated, stocked with samples and POP as required, and is clean and tidy

Web/Social: Monitors local “Branch website” and requests updates from Marketing Department & updates the current database of BIB-PRO referrals in all key product categories

Development: Identifies and manages employee coaching certifications to suit branch demand

Communication: Informs branch staff of all BIB Bulletin promotions, exclusive offers and content in monthly meeting display lighting

Training: Conducts ongoing knowledge assessment of build-it-better.ca for branch employees

Branch Appearance: Walls, siding, soffit, and windows are to be in good repair and appearance

Building Entrance: Free and clear of equipment & clutter. Doors swing freely. Hours of operation on display

Displays: All vendor displays are current & in good working order. (No discontinued products showing)

Pylon Sign: Backlighting works, the message is up to date, no missing characters or spelling errors

Lawns / Gardens: Lawn is manicured and gardens are free of weeds

Fence Line: No vegetation or overgrowth, free of damage, no product stacked against.

Parking Lot: Lines are painted, no potholes, curbs are straight, aligned, and in good repair. All traffic signs are current, in good condition.

Flags: On display & no visible damage or fading

Cleanliness/Appearance: No product in aisles or leaning on walls outside of racks. No faded, torn, or out-of-date postings. Floor mats are clean

Coffee Station: Station is clean, no spills, sugar, or litter on the counter. Garbage is empty. Well stocked. A sanitizer is available.

Organization: All stock is clearly labeled with price and sku#. Stock is front faced with English labels facing customer

Staffing Levels: Customers greeted in the first 10 ft. The phones are being answered. Staff present at the counter

Stock Levels: Stock outs are filled, rotated, FIFO. Hole count sheets are completed. Less than 75 holes

Lighting: Adequate lighting throughout the showroom, no burnt out or flickering lights. All lights are on including display lighting

Supplier Displays: P.O.P. (point of purchase) signs, “shelf talkers”, vendor brochures, tear sheets, etc. need to be maintained and updated continually.

Interior Door Display/Priced: Should be stable and safe. Ensure restraining appropriately where necessary.

Sales Counter: Desks, workstations, and filing cabinets must be clear of clutter. Only the computer should be in view of the customer.

Clearance Area: Signage in place, the product is neat, tidy. Each product is tagged or bin labelled. No product on the table for greater than 4 weeks.

5S: Work stations kept neat, tidy, and organized. No food, clothes, misc items sitting out as clutter.

Lighting: Adequate lighting throughout, no burnt out or flickering lights. All lights are on including display lighting

POSTINGS: H&S and new posting current, all required documents present. Organized and available to all staff

Cleanliness/Appearance: Floors are clean, toilet free of stains, mirrors are clean, sink is clean.

Stock Level: Toilet paper, soap, and hand towels are all stocked. Toilet brush is present

Cleaning Schedule: Posted, up-to-date

Lighting & Ventilation: In working order, timer for vent.

Cleanliness: All products should be straightened/organized/arranged and have a home.

Stock Level: Product is rotated and stacked safety

Cleaning Schedule: Posted, up-to-date

Staffing Levels: Staff is working in assigned sections. Are present on the floor. Customers are being looked after

Lighting & Ventilation: In working order, no burnt-out bulbs or dark areas

Saws & Equipment: List of certified users, dust collection maintained, locked out when not in use, in good working order, PPE available

PPE: All staff are wearing vests, boots. Ear and eye protection where needed. Sweeping compound in use when needed

Racking: In good working order, free of damage. Capacity plates on all levels. Secondary pins in place. Not overloaded.

Trim Bins: Must not be over-filled with product leaning outside of the bin nor laying on the ground.
